An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until October 27, 2018
The Rapid City Arts Council is pleased to bring you the Artists of the Black Hills 13th Annual Exhibition, opening on July 27 and on display until October 27, 2018. A reception will be held on Friday, July 27 from 5 – 7pm. The show will be located in the Sen. Stan Adelstein & Lynda K. Clark Gallery at the Dahl Arts Center in downtown Rapid City.
Artists of the Black Hills (ABH) is an organization of professional artists, artisans, and galleries who joined together with the common goal of presenting and promoting the Black Hills region as an art destination. Each of the members has been juried into the organization by a selection committee made up of a cross-section of ABH artists representing the entire body of the membership. The intent of this organization is to make evident the large pool of artistic talent in the Black Hills area and the impact that art has made, and continues to make on the quality of life in the Black Hills.
This will be the 13th annual show that Artists of the Black Hills has exhibited to the public. The exhibition will showcase the work of 40 individual members whose artwork includes numerous different mediums and styles of painting, sculpting, pastels, photography, printmaking, jewelry, collage and assemblage. For more information on the group, please visit their website at artistsoftheblackhills.com.
This exhibit is generously sponsored by Denny Gemeny, the Pailing Family, South Dakota Arts Council and Rapid City Arts Council.
The Dahl Arts Center galleries are open Monday-Friday, 10am – 6pm and Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Admission is free; however, for those with the ability to pay, donations are encouraged and appreciated. For more information about upcoming exhibits, visit thedahl.org.
