“The Curious Savage” Community Theatre
April 26 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
An event every day that begins at 7:30 PM, repeating until April 28, 2019
The entertaining comedy, written by John Patrick, is the story of an elderly widow, Mrs. Savage, whose husband left her 10 million dollars. She intends to give it all away to people who wish to pursue their dreams. Her stepchildren strongly object. To stop her plans, they commit her to a sanatorium, where the residents become her “new” family. Max G. Merchen directs this comedy.
The Matthews has announced their upcoming Subscription Series lineup for the 2018-19 season. This year’s series has six events. They run from Sept. 2018 to April 2019. Ticket prices are $125 for an adult ticket and $60 for both a youth (18 and under) or a BHSU student ticket. Season tickets are on sale now. Each event is also available to the non-subscriber as an individual admission ticket purchase.
Individual ticket sales for the series performances go on sale Sept. 1. Drop by the art gallery to buy your tickets during business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., call 605.642.7973 or buy online any time.
A season ticket comes with reserved seats for the whole season. Subscribers also receive ticket discounts on select non-season events. Ticket holders not able to attend a performance are able to give their tickets to anyone for that event. The theater, with its intimate setting and top-notch acoustics, rivals no other theatrical venue in the Black Hills.
