The rumble starts underfoot as the first of the 1,300 buffalo crest the hill. Before long, the mighty animals are stampeding alongside Park personnel, cowboys and cowgirls, all attempting to herd the animals toward the Buffalo Corrals. Halloween Night Hike

This event allows participants to hike a paved path along a ""creepy"" route, consisting of costumed characters. The characters humor their audiences with short skits about the natural history of various critters living in Custer State Park and the Black Hills. Hikes take place every 15 minutes from 5:30-8 p.m. MT both days (Oct 26-27). Reservations are required for all participants and can be made by contacting the Peter Norbeck Outdoor Education Center at (605) 255-4515
