Gold Club at Red Rock
The Golf Club at Red Rock has been ranked the best public golf course in South Dakota by several publications including GolfWeekly, Golf Digest, and travel websites. It is only minutes from Rapid City and can be enjoyed by players of all levels.

Meadowbrook Golf Course
This golf course is a local favorite and features a classic parkland-style course with cottonwood, spruce, pine, and apple trees. Water comes into play on nine holes. In 2009 and 2010, this course hosted NAIA College Women’s National Golf Championships.
Regular cost is $46 for 18 holes and $30 for nine holes. Cart rental for nine holes is $11 per person. Cart rental for 18 holes is $17 per person.
Southern Hills Golf Course
Located in Hot Springs, Southern Hills Golf Course is a public course that has hosted numerous regional Black Hills Tournaments and events. The 18 hole course is a treat to golfers of any skill level.
Nine holes cost from $26. 18 holes cost from $40. Golf cart rental for nine holes costs $10 per adult. Golf cart rental for 18 holes is $16 per person.
Tomahawk Lake Country Club
Tomahawk Lake Country Club offers a picturesque nine hole course just outside of downtown Deadwood. The course is surrounded by pristine Black Hills forests and rolling hills.
Nine holes cost $28 and 18 holes cost $40. Cart rental for nine holes is $10 per person. Cart rental for 18 holes is $20 per person.
Rocky Knolls Golf Course
This nine hole course is in Custer. The natural landscape makes for a great golfing environment. The fairways are lined with ponderosa pine trees and fantastic views of the Black Hills can be seen all around the course.
Nine holes cost $23 and 18 holes cost $36. There are extra fees for a cart. Active duty military personnel get a free cart rental.
