Downtown Christmas Tree

Main Street Square’s Christmas Tree is up!

A 30-foot blue spruce tree arrived in Main Street Square this morning. Workers armed with chainsaws, a crane, and plenty of manpower, managed to hoist up the giant tree from the delivery truck, and position it near the ice rink.

The impressive tree was donated by the Canyon Lake Senior Center in Rapid City. The Christmas tree was cut down, trimmed, and delivered by Baker Timber. The Rapid City Police Department even provided a safety escort to Main Street Square!

The lighting ceremony with Rapid City Mayor Steve Allender will be held at 5PM on Saturday, November 25 during Main Street Square’s Holiday Celebration and Winter Market.

Main Street Square comes alive during the winter, with the seasonal ice skating rink, Christmas tree, and plenty of events like skating parties, movie nights, New Year’s Eve Downtown Countdown, and many more!
